The Blizzard Hockey Club is an AAA hockey organization that is based upon the development of individual abilities that support team concepts. Blizzard players will receive instruction based on the development of the core hockey skills and how to play the game in all three zones of the rink. Specifically, the Offensive, Defensive and Neutral zone systems will be taught with the purpose of developing all Blizzard AAA Hockey Club players to become "smart" hockey players not individualistic "pond hockey" players. Players must have a Positive Attitude and willing to give 100% Effort. Coaching Staff will foster a positive and fun learning environment.
The Blizzard AAA Hockey Club encourages participation in other sports activities - the teams will take a break in the summer to allow participation in family activities and non-hockey activities. Between, April, May, June, July and August the players will be on the ice for 40+ hours which includes practices, scrimmages and tournaments.
All funds received from player participation and sponsorships are put toward funding the development of the Blizzard Hockey Club participants.
The Blizzard Hockey Club is an AAA organization that supports local association hockey during the winter. We believe that AAA hockey in the non-association hockey months compliments the commitment to Minnesota Hockey.
